Trees surround me
tall palms drop their unwieldy branches
on my roof
the almond bears its green clad fruit
and the vast wide circle of the kaffir plum
holds a colony
of green gold parrots
dropping tiny bombs with nuts inside
All winter the cottoneaster brightens our yard
with tiny globes of red
now the dry leaves of a hundred euchalypts
rustle through the paths
the old grapevine holds back city noise
I am content to live in a city where the trees
are loved

This is my very first word
I am still uncertain about using such a word
WordPress is an interesting concept
but will memory enable its use?
O Heather, we do keep busy.
